Snowshoe and ice skating excursion
After you've been picked up and given appropriate winter clothes and boots (in Lapland it can be as low as -30 °C!), your guide will drive you about 20 km from Rovaniemi to find a perfectly peaceful place to start your journey. Before you go into the forest, you will be given instructions on using snowshoes and walking on snow. When you snowshoe in quiet snowy landscapes, you already feel the harmony of Lapland's nature around you.
Soon you will end up in a huge open area surrounded by ice and snow. It's time to find a promising spot on the lake and try to get lunch! Your guide will help you drill your own hole in the ice and teach you the basic techniques of ice fishing. Then it's just a matter of time and patience before you can feel the first bites! This is just the perfect moment to appreciate the silence over the lake.
After this ice skating experience, it's time to put on your snowshoes and head back to Rovaniemi!

Important:
We can give you overalls and boots, but be prepared and pack a warm base layer, socks, hat and gloves. The minimum number of participants is 2 people. A maximum of 8 participants in the group.
This tour operates in all weather conditions, so dress appropriately. The minimum age of passengers is 6 years. The trip is not recommended for participants with heart problems or other serious illnesses. The trip includes some walking. This excursion is a great opportunity for all photography enthusiasts, so remember to bring your camera!

Ryhmät olivat aina pieniä, oppaat olivat erittäin asiantuntevia, mukavia ja avuliaita. Oppaamme olivat Gábor, Guillermo, Andy, Steven, Lukas ja Denis, ja meillä oli hauskaa heidän kanssaan. Saimme haalarit ja saappaat retkille, kun omamme eivät olleet tarpeeksi lämpimiä ja saimme eväitä useimmilla kierroksilla. Ryhmät olivat aina pieniä ja siellä oli hyvä henki. Nautimme todella ajastamme heidän kanssaan.

Oppaamme Emily oli erittäin ystävällinen ja mukava. Hän antoi meille tietoa ympäristöstä ja piti kaikki mukana. Tyttärelläni oli hämmästyttävä aika chattailussa koko ajan (näet alla olevasta kuvasta kuinka he liittyivät yhteen ?) Meillä oli myös vuorovaikutusta toisen ryhmäoppaan Carlosin kanssa, hauska ja iloinen kaveri :) Kiitos paljon Emilylle ja kiitos Wild About Lapland -tiimi tästä upeasta kokemuksesta!

Siellä oli upea taivas, täynnä tähtiä. Luonnon kanssa kosketus oli taianomaista! Atanas teki parhaansa päästääkseen meidän näkemään revontulia ja ponnisteli ottamalla meistä useita kuvia eri paikoissa! Välipala tipiin keittämällä makkaroita ja syömällä keksejä!
