Husky Farm Visit and 10 km Husky Safari
After you have been picked up and given warm clothing (recommended, as it can be very cold during the safari), your guide will drive you to a truly lovely husky farm located a 30-minute drive from Rovaniemi. As soon as you leave the city, you can already enjoy the enchanting snowy forests and surrounding landscapes.
At the farm, you will be welcomed by the owners and the excited barking of their wonderful dogs. You will be introduced to the dogs and given safety instructions and tips on driving the sled. When you are ready, you will set off on a wonderful sled ride through winter landscapes for about 10 kilometers (approximately 60 to 75 minutes depending on snow conditions). There are always a maximum of 2 adults on the sled ride (one drives and one passenger sits in the sled), and you will have the opportunity to switch driver and passenger halfway through.
Bring a good mood and your best hugs for the dogs! And don’t forget your camera either!
