Snowshoeing and Ice Fishing Trip
Once you have been picked up and provided with appropriate winter clothing and boots (in Lapland it can be as cold as -30 °C!), your guide will drive you about 20 km from Rovaniemi to find a perfectly peaceful place to begin your journey. Before you head into the forest, you will be given instructions on how to use snowshoes and move through the snow. As you snowshoe through the quiet snowy landscapes, you will already feel the harmony of Lapland’s nature all around you.
Soon you will arrive at a vast open area surrounded by ice and snow. It is time to find a promising spot on the lake and try to catch lunch! Your guide will help you drill your own hole in the ice and teach you the basic techniques of ice fishing. Then it is just a matter of time and patience before you feel the first bites! This is the perfect moment to appreciate the silence that reigns over the lake.
After this ice fishing experience, it is time to put your snowshoes back on and head back to Rovaniemi!
The trip includes some walking. This excursion is a great opportunity for all photography enthusiasts, so remember to bring your camera!

Important:
Minimum number of participants: 2 people. Maximum group size: 8 participants. The minimum age for participants is 6 years.
This tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately. We can provide you with overalls and boots, but be prepared and wear warm thermal underwear, socks, a hat, and gloves. The tour is not recommended for participants with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
