Paragliding Experience Flight
Paragliding club Extreme Team Tampere offers the opportunity to ride in a paraglider near Tampere, above Lake Näsijärvi. Extreme Team Tampere is the only operator in Finland to organize paragliding tandem records safely over water. Paragliding club Extreme Team is located in Tampere in Santalahti Park.
A paragliding experience flight offers adrenaline, freedom, and views that can only be seen from the air. A tandem paragliding flight with an experienced pilot takes the recipient over Lake Näsijärvi to experience the beauty of the Tampere lake district from a completely new perspective. When an amusement park is no longer enough, this flight offers a pulse-raising alternative – or, if preferred, a calm and enjoyable flight through the air.
The experience is carried out under the guidance of Extreme Team Tampere’s experienced pilots. The flight includes the opportunity to influence the intensity of the experience: leisurely admiring the scenery or a flight with “all the tricks,” where G-forces and dizzying spins make the experience unique in Finland. If desired, the recipient can also try steering the paraglider under the pilot’s supervision.
At the beginning, you will receive theoretical training introducing you to aviation, equipment, and safety regulations. The time spent in the air depends on the flight altitude and weather, but including towing it is approximately 20 minutes. Please reserve about one hour in total.
- Introductory paragliding course and tandem experience flight under the guidance of an experienced pilot;
- Introduction to paragliding equipment and the principles of flying;
- Towing the glider into the air by boat about five times, to an altitude of 600-800 meters;
- Independent flight phase after the tow rope is released;
- Opportunity to perform tricks during the flight according to the passenger’s wishes;
- Opportunity to try steering the paraglider;
- GoPro video recording of the flight.
Important:
Participants under the age of 18 need written permission from a guardian. The participant must be sober and in basic good health, and able to run a short distance. The weight limit is 110 kg. During the course, the student is insured.
The weather must be rain-free, and wind speed may be no more than 5 m/s. Because the weather can change quickly, flying may be cancelled unexpectedly. A cancelled flight will be rescheduled for another time.
