"Museum of Etnocosmology of Lithuania" is the first and so far the only museum of its kind in the world, and the first museum in Lithuania that operates around the clock. Do not miss the opportunity to visit.
At the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology, night stargazing starts at 1-1 p.m. 30 minutes after sunset. 5 different objects of the night sky are demonstrated (Moon, planets, stars, their pairs, clusters, nebulae, galaxies). These are unique observations, a real look at the stars, helping to feel the vast distances and different sizes of the Universe. Enjoy this observation with a loved one for two!
The sky is different at different times of the year and even at night, for example, there are nights when the Moon does not rise, popularly they are called gaps, voids. Darker nights are better for observations. Also, the program takes place at a high altitude, in an open room, so it is recommended to dress warmly to make the excursion cozy and pleasant. Get to know the heavenly bodies in a romantic way!
Important:
Excursions are conducted only on clear nights. Excursions are conducted throughout the year (Monday - Friday). For children up to 6 years old tours are free of charge.
