Rožmalas

At the Rožmalas recreation complex, you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in nature. The complex is located in the Bauska region, this place was built in its current form between 2005 and 2007. The area of ​​4 hectares includes a hotel and restaurant, Ribbe mill, Zeļļu house, an old apple orchard, sports and children's playgrounds. The vast territory of Rožmalas is suitable for organizing large outdoor events. In 2015, this place was purchased by two Zemgale farming families, who work in agriculture every day, using the latest technologies - at the same time, highly honoring ancient Latvian traditions and customs. Latvian annual holidays are celebrated in Rožmalas - Winter Solstice, Easter, Summer Solstice and St. Martin's Day. Concerts, exhibitions and various meetings with interesting people are organized.

In Rožmalai you can enjoy delicious meals at the restaurant. The restaurant offers international cuisine with delicious and healthy dishes, an extensive drink menu and excellent Italian Segafredo coffee, as well as home-baked cookies and bread with seeds for lunch or dinner.

The restaurant hosts themed events, children's mornings, brunches, garden parties, which will offer interesting dishes, drinks and pastries. Special attention has been paid to the little visitors, who have a children's menu and a spacious playroom and playground next to the Mill.

The Rožmalu Hotel offers accommodation in eleven well-appointed two-story rooms on the second floor of the building and two rooms near the SPA area on the first floor of the building. The interior uses wood and linen, and you can watch a romantic rural landscape through the window.

The Ribbe windmill was built according to a Dutch-style design, which was typical of large and powerful windmills at the time, from 1867 to 1869. It got its name from the surname of its first owner – Riba. It is said that the workers who built the windmill received one siek* (Sieks – an ancient Latvian measure of grain volume) of grain per day, and the foreman a silver ruble.
