Rožmalas

In the recreation complex Rožmalas you will be able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing rest in nature. The complex is located in the Bauska region, this place in its current form was built in the period from 2005 to 2007. On the 4ha area there is a hotel and restaurant, Ribbe mill, Zeļļu māja, the old apple orchard, sports and children's playgrounds. The vast territory of Rožmala is suitable for holding large outdoor events. In 2015, this place was bought by two families of farmers from Zemgale, who are engaged in agriculture on a daily basis, using the latest technologies - at the same time, highly honoring the ancient Latvian traditions and customs. Latvian annual holidays are celebrated in Rožmalai - Winter Solstice, Easter, Summer Solstice and Martini. Concerts, exhibitions and various meetings with interesting people are held.

You can enjoy delicious meals in the restaurant in Rožmalas. The restaurant offers international cuisine with delicious and healthy dishes, an extensive drink menu and excellent Italian Segafredo coffee, as well as home-baked cookies and bread with seeds for lunch or dinner.

​Thematic events, children's mornings, brunches, garden parties are organized in the restaurant space, where interesting food, drinks and pastries will be offered. Special consideration has been given to the little visitors, who have developed a children's menu and equipped a spacious playroom and playground next to the Mill.

Rožmalu Hotel offers eleven well-furnished two-story rooms on the second floor of the building and two rooms near the SPA area on the first floor of the building. Wood and linen are used in the interior, you can observe a romantic rural landscape from the window,
apple orchard and mill.

The Ribbe windmill was built according to a Dutch-type project, which was characteristic of large and powerful windmills at that time, from 1867 to 1869. They got their name thanks to the surname of the first owner - Riba. It is said that the workers building the windmills received one siek* (Sieks - the ancient Latvian measure of grain volume) of grain per day, while the work supervisor received a silver ruble.
