The public sports organization DISK (Daugavpils Parachutists Sports Club) was founded in 1999 by 10 Daugavpils parachutists. Over the 13 years of its operation, the number of DISK members has increased to 30 people. The club's sports base is located at the Zapadnaja Grīva airfield, Daugavpils region (3m from the Daugavpils city center), where parachute jumps from AN-2 aircraft (altitude -3000m) and training flights of JAK-18t aircraft take place every year from April to October, on weekends and holidays.
The main task of DISK is to provide athletes with opportunities to develop their skydiving skills, as well as to support the popularization of aviation sports in Latvia.

Do you want to experience something breathtaking, something that will make your heart skip a beat and feel like a bird flying high, high in the sky? Skydiving will allow you to experience all these sensations! Head to Daugavpils, the second largest city in Latvia after the capital Riga, for an adrenaline rush.
If this is your first jump, don't worry, tandem jumping is the safest way to jump from a plane with an experienced instructor. Skydive Daugavpils instructors are certified and experienced jumpers who have jumped thousands of times. People of any age, physical fitness or weight can participate in a tandem jump. During the jump, the instructor will control the entire process, so all you have to do is enjoy the 40-second free fall from a height of 3000 meters, followed by a wonderful flight under the canopy with breathtaking views of Daugavpils.
DISK also offers “Static Line” jumps, which are perfect for those who want to jump solo and have no or minimal previous experience. The parachute opens automatically 3-5 seconds after leaving the plane. Before the start of the flight, the jumper will receive all the necessary information and briefing on how to properly jump out of the plane and the landing process. Once all the necessary information is obtained, you will be prepared for your first solo jump. After jumping out of the plane and the parachute opens, you will receive instructions over the radio on how to properly pilot the parachute and land. You will have approximately 5 minutes to soar freely in the sky and enjoy the city from a bird's eye view.
