Rantakari Rental Cottage

Rantakari seaside cottage is a scenic holiday destination for families and small groups for relaxation, spending time together and peaceful evenings in Tiutinen, Kotka, about a 90-minute drive from Helsinki.

Rantakari rental cottage is a fully equipped cottage suitable for year-round use, located right by the sea in the yard of a detached house. The rental cottage has a wonderful private sea terrace and swimming pier. The glass terrace offers magnificent archipelago views and a view over the open seascape all the way to Hamina.

Cottage accommodation for 7:

Rantakari rental cottage is a one-and-a-half-storey holiday home accommodating a total of 7 people in a bedroom and on a loft opening to the living room. The cottage has a sofa and heat-storing fireplace, a well-equipped kitchenette, a bedroom, a sleeping loft, a wood-heated sauna, a toilet and a wonderful glass terrace. In front of the glazed terrace there is a magnificent private sea terrace with direct access to the pier.

Holiday home with a bedroom and sleeping loft:

The rental cottage has beds for a total of 7 people. The bedroom is located downstairs and has 2 x 80 cm wide box-spring beds. The loft has 5 x 80 cm box-spring beds. Access to the loft is via steep stairs, so the loft is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. All beds have duvets and pillows. Bed linen can be rented separately. Rantakari rental cottage is best suited for 6-7 people, but there is a spare mattress on the loft and the living room sofa can also be used for accommodation if necessary.

The rental cottage has a kitchenette and comprehensive tableware and serving dishes for 8 people. The kitchen has a stove, oven, dishwasher, tall fridge-freezer and microwave oven. The kitchen also has a coffee maker, kettle, toaster and hand mixer. Wine glasses and sparkling wine glasses are also provided. Dishwashing detergents are included in the rent. The glazed terrace has a dining table for 8 people.

Wood-heated sauna, washing facilities and 2 x toilet. The rental cottage has a small wood-heated sauna. The sauna accommodates 3 bathers at a time. The sauna has a wood-heated stove and the washroom has a shower and toilet. The cottage also has a separate toilet. Firewood can be found in the firewood storage by the wall of the storage shed.

Fishing cottage for families and groups:

Rantakari seaside cottage is located in Tiutinen, by good fishing waters, and is therefore also excellent as a fishing cottage for families and small fishing groups. Although sleeping in a boat cabin or in a tent on a treeless island may sound reasonable before the trip, accommodation, for example if a storm surprises you, may be safer and more comfortable in our Rantakari cottage.

Our cottage has all the necessary comforts and essentials, so if you wish you can spend all your time fishing. After a fishing trip, you can enjoy the relaxing warmth on the benches of the seaside sauna and listen to the crackle of the fire in the fireplace. Come and enjoy a pleasant stay alone or with friends!

Rowing boat available:

Rantakari rental cottage also offers opportunities for boating and fishing. The detached house’s rowing boat is available at no extra charge. Please remember to secure the rowing boat carefully and report any deficiencies to our customer service so that we can keep the boat in working order despite storms. 

Barbecue facilities on the rental cottage terraceThe glazed terrace provides direct access to the sea terrace and pier in front of the cottage. The beach terrace is bordered with screens and there is no direct line of sight to the neighbour. The beach terrace has a gas grill, a dining table suitable for outdoor dining and sun loungers.

Private swimming pier:

There is a footbridge from the beach terrace to the pier. The sea water level varies greatly, so when the water is low the footbridge to the pier is steep. Please be careful when walking to the pier.At the end of the pier there are swimming steps, which, depending on the weather, are usually available at least from April–May until December. When the sea is frozen, guests may, if they wish, make an ice hole at the end of the pier. The shore in front of the cottage drops off steeply and is not suitable for play by children who cannot swim. The nearest sandy beach is Tiutinen’s own sandy beach just over 100 metres away, at the end of Pyrinnöntie.
