Kaunisvirta Rental Cottage

Villa Kaunisvirta is a stunning deadwood log rental cottage for year-round use in Pyhtää, about 100 km east of Helsinki. The cottage is located by the river, right in the heart of nature.

The cottage can accommodate 12 people in two separate cottages, the main building and a separate sauna building. The cottage also has a barbecue shelter, a fine traditional log storage shed and an outdoor toilet. There is a swimming pier on the shore.

Kaunisvirta’s deadwood log cottage is excellent for holidays and accommodation all year round. The river often remains open until the end of December. The hot tub is also available year-round. The river is often frozen in January, but if you wish, you can make an ice hole at the end of the pier.

The Kaunisvirta holiday destination consists of two separate buildings:

The main building and the sauna cottage, which together accommodate up to 12 people. Both cottages have sleeping areas, a shower and a toilet.

In the sauna cottage, the sleeping loft has separate beds for four, and the main building has three separate bedrooms with accommodation for 8 people.

Downstairs there is one bedroom with a small 140 cm wide loft bed.

Upstairs there are two larger bedrooms, one with 2 x 90 cm beds and the other with 4 x 80 cm beds. Some of the beds are placed side by side. Access to the second floor is via fairly steep stairs.

The main cottage also has an atmospheric lounge area, where a fireplace and a comfortable large sofa create a cosy atmosphere.

The Kaunisvirta main building is about 105 m2 in size and the sauna building 30 m2, with a loft of about 15 m2. In total about 150 m2.

All beds have duvets and pillows. Bed linen can be rented separately.

There are spare mattresses in the loft above the sauna, and if necessary the cottage can accommodate a few extra people. 

The main cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and dining area:

The kitchen has a stove, oven, dishwasher, tall fridge-freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker and kettle. There is also a toaster and whisk. Crockery and cutlery are available for at least 12 people. Dishwashing liquids, rubbish bags and paper towels are included in the rent. The kitchen also often has salt and pepper, coffee and filter bags available. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area with a large dining table for 10 people. If there are 12 guests, not everyone can sit at the same table at the same time.

Separate sauna building with sauna and washing facilities:

The cottage has a separate sauna building of about 30 m2 in floor area, with a large wood-heated sauna. The sauna offers wonderful views of the river. Next to the sauna there is a washroom with access to the outdoor terrace. Above the sauna there is a sleeping loft for four. Access to the loft is via steep stairs. The main building also has a separate shower room, where a washing machine is also available.

Kaunisvirta rental cottage has a wood-heated hot tub for about 6 people. The hot tub offers a wonderful opportunity to bathe outdoors all year round. You can lounge in warm water and enjoy yourself regardless of the weather. The hot tub is located in front of the sauna, partly sunk into the terrace. In addition to the hot tub, the sauna terrace has a seating group for four.
